Tycon 400 A8-T-24S 072J-03xS A8-000 is a compact dome-type fiber optic splice closure designed to protect and organize fiber optic connections in telecommunications, FTTH, backbone and access networks. The model features an integrated patch panel that accommodates up to 24 SC Simplex adapters, allowing it to function as both a splice closure and a distribution point.

The closure supports up to 72 fiber optic splices using a maximum of 3 S-type splice trays. This design ensures orderly fiber routing and provides convenient access to individual connections during installation and maintenance work.

Integrated patch panel

One of the key features of the Tycon 400 A8-T-24S is its panel designed for mounting 24 SC Simplex adapters. Integrating the panel into the closure housing reduces the number of installation components required and simplifies the organization of connections terminated with fiber optic connectors.

Design and sealing

The closure features a dome-shaped housing made of material resistant to UV radiation, corrosion and chemicals. The heat-shrink sealing system used for cable entries protects the interior against external factors.

The IP68 protection rating makes the closure suitable for aerial, duct, underground and demanding industrial installations. It can operate in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +60°C.

Fiber management and installation

The closure is designed for efficient installation and convenient subsequent maintenance. Its features include a fiber management system, a pressure control valve located in the dome, a grounding feedthrough and an A8-type cable mounting system.

Cable entries are sealed using heat-shrink components, allowing the installation method to be adapted to the cable used and the installation conditions.

Required accessories
