The CRS328-4C-20S-4S+RM is a managed switch from MikroTik equipped with 4 Combo ports (SFP + Ethernet), 20 SFP slots, and 4 SFP+ slots. The device features two operating systems - SwitchOS and RouterOS (Level 5) - and a dual-boot function, allowing users to choose their preferred system. SwitchOS provides Layer 2 switch functionality, supporting IEEE 802.1Q standard (up to 4K VLAN IDs simultaneously), port security, port isolation, IGMP Snooping, and link aggregation. On the other hand, using RouterOS provides full access to Layer 3 functions, similar to other MikroTik products, which can be useful in many situations.
The switch's design is based on the Marvell 8DX3236A1 processor (clocked at 800 MHz) and the switch chip 98DX3236A1, known from other MikroTik products like CRS328-24P-4S+RM or CRS326-24G-2S+RM. An additional advantage is the 512 MB of RAM. The maximum non-blocking throughput is 64 Gb/s, and the packet forwarding speed is 95.2 Mp/s. The switch has two built-in AC power supplies, with a maximum power consumption of 43 W.
