The DRAKA U-DQ(ZN)BH 24E optical fiber cable is a universal cable suitable for both indoor and outdoor connections. Single-mode fibers are placed in a central tube filled with gel. The gel filling the tube acts as a protective layer for the optical fibers, dampening fiber movement during cable movements and protecting the fibers from atmospheric conditions. Glass fibers used in the cable construction aim to protect the central tube with optical fibers from mechanical damage and rodent attacks.
The DRAKA U-DQ(ZN)BH 24E cable contains 24 single-mode fibers (Sumitomo). The fiber coloring in the cable complies with the TIA-EIA-598-A standard. The cable jacket is made of LSZH material (Low Smoke Zero Halogen), which does not propagate flames and does not emit toxic substances.
