The 24J (12F/T) optical fiber cable is a dielectric cable with a multi-tube construction (12 fibers per tube + 4 fillers) designed for use in external micro-ducts, ducts, indoor installations, and cable micro-ducts. The cable is reinforced with a central FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) rod with a diameter of 1.5 mm, and the tubes containing the fibers are filled with hydrophobic gel to protect them from moisture and vibrations. G.652D optical fibers with a reduced impact of -OH ions (Zero Water Peak) compatible with commonly used G.657 fibers are employed. The outer jacket is made of HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene), characterized by a low coefficient of friction and excellent resistance to water, salt solution, acids, alkalis, alcohols, gasoline, and substances present in telecommunications ducts. Additionally, two ripcords are used to facilitate the removal of the outer cable sheath. The cable can be installed in micro-ducts using pneumatic and mechanical methods. The outer diameter of the cable is 5.4 mm.
