The ZTT microDUCT 144J (6x24F) fiber optic cable is a technologically advanced solution designed for modern data transmission systems requiring high capacity, reliability, and durability. This dielectric optical cable is intended for underground microducts, duct installations, and indoor building routes. Featuring six loose tubes, each containing 24 single-mode G.652D fibers, the cable provides an impressive 144-fiber capacity within a highly compact form.
At the core of the cable lies a centrally positioned fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) strength member, which protects the cable’s structure from mechanical stress and deformation during installation and operation. Each loose tube is filled with hydrophobic gel, effectively shielding the fibers from moisture, vibrations, and micro-damage—ensuring long-term transmission stability.
The cable is encased in a durable HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) outer sheath, which resists mechanical damage, UV radiation, and exposure to water, acids, salts, alcohols, and oils. This robust construction performs exceptionally well in harsh environmental conditions. Additionally, two ripcords allow for quick and safe removal of the outer jacket without risking fiber damage.
The cable incorporates high-quality G.652D single-mode fibers, characterized by low water peak attenuation (Zero Water Peak). This results in enhanced moisture resistance and full compatibility with G.657 fibers, making the cable ideal for both new network deployments and the upgrading of existing infrastructure.
Designed for a wide range of applications, the cable can be installed both mechanically and pneumatically in microducts or telecom ducts. Its compact outer diameter (6.4 mm) and lightweight design (58 kg/km) ensure fast, convenient, and cost-effective installation.
