ZTT 2-24J DUCT optical cables are single-tube conduits designed for installation in telecommunication ducts. They are reinforced with glass fibers and two Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) rods embedded in the outer layer. Additionally, a double ripcord is used to facilitate the removal of the outer cable jacket. The tube containing the optical fibers is filled with hydrophobic gel to protect them from moisture and vibrations. G.652D single-mode fibers with reduced sensitivity to -OH ions (Zero Water Peak) are employed. The cable is completely dielectric, with good tensile and compression strength. The outer jacket is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE, black), offering high resistance to chemicals and substances found in telecommunication ducts.
