ZTE ZXHN F663N GPON ONT with WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet, USB and POTS

ZTE ZXHN F663N is an advanced GPON ONT designed for use in FTTH fiber-optic networks. The device functions as a home network gateway, providing broadband access for residential users as well as small offices and SOHO businesses.

The use of GPON technology enables high-speed Internet access, while efficient data forwarding mechanisms allow simultaneous delivery of services such as Internet, VoIP and HD television.

GPON Interface

The ZTE ZXHN F663N features 1 GPON optical port with an SC/UPC connector, allowing the terminal to be connected to the operator’s fiber-optic infrastructure.

The device is designed as an endpoint in FTTH networks, enabling broadband services to be delivered directly to the end user.

Ethernet Ports

The terminal is equipped with 4 Ethernet ports, including one Gigabit Ethernet port and three Fast Ethernet ports:

• 1 × Gigabit Ethernet (GE),
• 3 × Fast Ethernet (FE).

The Gigabit Ethernet port provides a high-speed wired connection for a computer, router, switch, Smart TV or other network device requiring higher bandwidth.

The three Fast Ethernet ports can be used to connect additional devices to the local wired network.

2.4 GHz WiFi

The ZTE ZXHN F663N features an integrated WiFi access point operating in the 2.4 GHz band. The device supports the following standards:

• IEEE 802.11b,
• IEEE 802.11g,
• IEEE 802.11n.

Built-in WiFi enables wireless connectivity for computers, smartphones, tablets, TVs and other devices equipped with a WLAN interface.

VoIP Support

The terminal is equipped with 1 POTS port, allowing an analog telephone to be connected and VoIP voice services provided by the operator to be used.

Integrating telephony functionality into the GPON terminal makes it possible to provide both data transmission and telephone services over a single fiber-optic infrastructure.

USB 2.0 Port

The ZTE ZXHN F663N also features 1 USB 2.0 port, which can be used to connect compatible USB devices, including storage media.

Depending on the installed firmware and operator configuration, the port may also be used for additional network functions.

VLAN Support

The terminal supports IEEE 802.1Q Virtual LAN, enabling logical separation of network traffic using VLANs.

This feature can be used to separate different services delivered over an FTTH network, such as Internet, VoIP or IPTV, depending on the operator’s configuration.

Routing Functions

The ZTE ZXHN F663N supports routing functions, allowing it to operate as a home network gateway. This enables traffic management between the operator’s network and devices connected to the user’s local network.

The terminal can be configured in several ways, including via the OLT, Web interface or NMS.

Management and Configuration

The F663N is designed for operator environments and can be managed both locally and remotely.

The following configuration methods are available:

• management via OLT,
• configuration via Web interface,
• management via NMS.

The device is supplied with software and a user interface in English.

Compact Design

The ZTE ZXHN F663N features compact dimensions of 165 × 110 × 28 mm, making it easy to install in homes and small offices.

The terminal is powered by 12 V DC / 1 A. Depending on the version, the device may be supplied with a suitable power adapter for various plug standards, including EU, UK, US and AU.

Operating Conditions

The ZTE ZXHN F663N can operate at temperatures ranging from -5°C to 45°C. The permissible operating humidity range is 5–95%, non-condensing.
