Pressure Plug for Microduct 

Pressure sealing connectors are professional components used in fiber optic microduct installations based on compressed-air fiber blowing technology. They are designed to permanently and tightly seal the ends of microducts, protecting the installation against dirt, moisture, and pressure loss. Thanks to their suitability for both thin-walled and thick-walled microducts, they provide a universal solution for a wide range of systems. The connectors are available in the following sizes: 7 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm, 14 mm, and 20 mm.

Construction and Materials

The pressure plugs are made of durable and resistant materials that ensure many years of reliable operation under demanding conditions. The polycarbonate body offers high mechanical resistance and transparency, allowing visual inspection of correct installation. POM used in the reinforcing components and clip ensures reliable stability, while the 304 stainless steel clamping ring provides effective compression and long-lasting connection strength. The NBR seal ensures pneumatic tightness of the system.

Functionality and Advantages

Operating Conditions

The connectors maintain full functionality at temperatures ranging from -20°C to +50°C and relative humidity from 5% to 100%. For storage and transportation, they can be safely handled at temperatures from -10°C to +50°C, simplifying logistics.

Connector Selection

Pressure plugs should always be selected according to the outer diameter of the microduct. For example, for a microduct with dimensions of 14/10 mm, a 14 mm plug should be used. Selecting the correct diameter ensures complete sealing and proper operation of the system.
