The Ubiquiti AirGrid M5 High Power is a complete 802.11a/n MIMO 1x1 radio system designed for the 5GHz band. Utilizing the InnerFeed solution, it integrates the grid antenna with the radio module and router/access point. The antenna has a gain of 23dBi, and the radio module has a power output of 25dBm, enabling wireless connections over distances exceeding 30km. With the 802.11n MIMO 1x1 standard, it can achieve real TCP/IP throughput of up to 100Mbps.
The AirGrid M5 High Power operates in Router or Bridge modes. The WiFi interface supports Access Point, Access Point WDS, Client, and Client WDS modes. It is compatible with platforms based on the MikroTik RouterOS system.
Equipped with an Atheros MIPS 24KC processor clocked at 400MHz, 32MB SDRAM, 8MB Flash memory, and one 10/100Mbps Ethernet port, it is powered by PoE. The received WiFi signal strength is indicated by four LED lights, which can be assigned to display the appropriate signal level. Built-in surge/ESD protection ensures reliable operation even in adverse weather conditions.
The device is compatible with the AirMax protocol, which eliminates hidden station issues by allocating time slots (TDMA) for devices, enabling collision-free transmission. This allows for maximum throughput utilization even with dozens of client stations connected to the access point.
The package includes a mounting bracket with two clamps for installing the antenna on a mast.
