The Ubiquiti AF-5XHD airFiber 5XHD is a product used for point-to-point radio link connections, providing high link performance. It operates in the 5GHz band and is an evolution of the popular airFiber 5X.
The airFiber 5XHD is the first radio link to utilize the LTU module, offering channel widths of up to 100 MHz. The LTU module overcomes limitations imposed by the Wi-Fi 802.11 standard.
The AF-5XHD is compatible with Ubiquiti® airFiber X antennas (e.g., AF-5G23-S45, AF-5G30-S45, AF-5G34-S45) as well as RocketDish™ antennas (e.g., RD-5G30, RD-5G34). When assembled with an antenna, it provides a complete solution for point-to-point links (PtP) in the 5 GHz band. To use RocketDish antennas RD-5G30 and RD-5G34 with the AF-5XHD, the AF-5G-OMT-S45 conversion kit is required.
The device features a performance level of 21.2 bps/Hz and real throughput of up to 1.34 Gb/s. The AirFiber 5XHD is waterproof and ideal for all weather conditions, with an IP67 protection rating.
