The fibre optic cable is a modern cable designed for installation in microduct systems. Thanks to its 1.5 mm loose tube filled with thixotropic gel and its fully dielectric construction, containing no metallic components, the product ensures reliable, long-lasting operation in demanding outdoor conditions.
The cable features a central FRP strength member, around which tubes containing G.652D/G.657A1 optical fibres are stranded. The cable core is protected with water-swellable yarns, which prevent moisture ingress. The black polyethylene (PE) outer sheath provides additional resistance to weather conditions and mechanical damage.
The Z-XOTKtmsd fibre optic cable has a special designation describing its construction and intended use:
Z – cable designed for outdoor applications, resistant to weather conditions,
X – polyethylene (PE) sheath, resistant to UV radiation, moisture and damage,
OTK – optical telecommunications cable used in fibre optic networks,
t – tubular construction featuring loose microtubes in which the optical fibres are housed,
ms – dry cable-core water blocking, providing protection against moisture and facilitating installation,
d – fully dielectric construction, meaning that the cable contains no metallic components, making it lightweight, safe and resistant to electromagnetic interference.
Thanks to this construction, the Z-XOTKtmsd cable is exceptionally durable, lightweight and easy to install in microduct systems. At the same time, it provides long-term protection for the optical fibres, even in demanding environmental conditions.
