The fiber optic cable is a modern cable designed for installation in microduct systems. Thanks to the use of a 1.5 mm diameter loose tube filled with thixotropic gel and an entirely dielectric construction with no metal components, the product ensures reliable, long-lasting operation in demanding outdoor conditions.
The cable is equipped with a central FRP strength member, around which tubes containing G.652D/G.657A1 optical fibers are stranded. The cable core is protected with water-swellable yarns that prevent moisture penetration. The black polyethylene (PE) outer sheath further improves resistance to weather conditions and mechanical damage.
The Z-XOTKtmsd fiber optic cable has a special designation that describes its construction and intended application:
Z – cable intended for outdoor applications, resistant to weather conditions,
X – sheath made of polyethylene (PE), resistant to UV radiation, moisture and damage,
OTK – optical telecommunications cable used in fiber optic networks
t – tube-based construction using a micro loose tube in which the fibers are routed,
ms – dry core water-blocking system, providing moisture protection and facilitating installation,
d – entirely dielectric construction, meaning that the cable contains no metal components and is lightweight, safe and resistant to electromagnetic interference.
