Heavy-Duty Direct-Burial Composite Telecommunications Poles

Our telecommunications poles are made of glass-fibre-reinforced polymer composite. By using advanced materials such as polyester resins, glass fabrics and glass fibre mats, we have created a product that combines low weight with exceptional strength. These poles are an excellent alternative to traditional steel, aluminium and concrete structures.

Advantages of Composite Telecommunications Poles

  1. Resistance and Durability: Composite poles offer an exceptionally long service life, estimated at up to 40–50 years. They contain no components that are susceptible to corrosion, making them resistant to weather conditions, UV radiation and acts of vandalism.

  2. Easy Installation: Thanks to their low weight, the poles are easy to install, significantly reducing installation and labour costs.

  3. Environmentally Friendly: The production of composite poles requires less energy than the manufacture of steel or aluminium alternatives and generates lower CO2 emissions. In addition, composite materials can be recycled, making them an environmentally friendly solution.

  4. Safety: Composite poles do not conduct electricity, minimising electrical hazards. Their low impact-energy absorption helps reduce the risk of vehicle damage and passenger injury in the event of a collision.

  5. Resistance to Corrosion and Chemicals: The poles are resistant to a wide range of chemicals, including substances used for road de-icing and street cleaning, as well as industrial pollution and acid rain.

Customisation: The use of a gelcoat finish on the surface of the pole allows us to produce it in any colour from the RAL colour palette, providing customised solutions tailored to the customer’s requirements.

Certificates, Testing and Compliance with Standards

Our composite telecommunications poles comply with applicable European and national standards and are supplied with the relevant certificates and test reports confirming their quality, durability and operational safety. The structures have been tested in areas including:

  • consistency of performance in accordance with EN 40-7,

  • enclosure protection rating IP55,

  • resistance to mechanical impact IK10,

  • passive safety of support structures for road equipment in accordance with PN-EN 12767,

  • reaction to fire in accordance with PN-EN 13501-1,

  • corrosion resistance in salt-spray conditions in accordance with PN-EN ISO 9227,

  • resistance to UV radiation and material colour changes in accordance with PN-EN ISO 4892.

The poles also hold PKP approval, allowing them to be used in railway infrastructure.
