Engineered with an ergonomic design and precision-ground blades, this tool makes mid-span and end-section cable jacket slitting quick, clean, and safe—preserving the integrity of internal fibers and strength members.

Key Features: Designed for Flat Drop Cables: Ideal for cables up to 0.250” wide, including Super Essex Communications Series 6U, 6T tonable, W7, W7 tonable, 6U 24F, and 6T 24F tonable flat drop cables. Versatile Compatibility: Cuts cables ranging in width from 0.305” to 0.350” and height from 0.155” to 0.185”, including Corning SST-Drop cables. Efficient Slitting: Simultaneously slits both sides of the cable jacket, allowing for fast and easy access to optical fibers or strength members. Fiber Protection: Precisely separates the jacket and strength elements from the buffer tube without damaging the optical fibers inside. Replaceable Blades: Comes with two reversible blades that are easily replaceable or flippable, effectively doubling their service life. Spare blades (model FOD-RB25) are sold separately.
