The Jonard Tools FOB-2000 is an award-winning and patented branch cable cutter designed specifically for FTTH technicians working with flat drop cables. With its ergonomic design and precision blades, this tool makes it significantly easier to cut cable sheaths on mid-span or end sections, while also protecting the fibers and strength members inside.

Key Features:

  • Suitable for flat cables: Designed to cut 0.250" wide cables, as well as other types such as Super Essex Communications Series 6U, 6T tonable, W7, W7 tonable, 6U 24F, and 6T 24F tonable flat drop cables.
  • Versatility: Cuts cables ranging from 0.305” to 0.350” in width and from 0.155” to 0.185” in height, including popular Corning SST-Drop cables.
  • Cutting efficiency: Slices both sides of the jacket simultaneously, allowing easy access to the fibers or strength members.
  • Fiber protection: Accurately separates the jacket and strength members from the buffer tube without damaging the optical fiber.
  • Replaceable blades: Equipped with two reversible blades that can be easily flipped or replaced, doubling their lifespan. Replacement blades (FOD-RB25) are sold separately.
