The Jonard Tools BTR-6 Buffer Tube Ring is designed to provide quick access to fibers inside buffer tubes with diameters ranging from 1.2 mm to 6 mm and is compatible with buffer tubes with wall thicknesses from 0.2 mm to 0.5 mm. It is lightweight and durable, featuring a hardened steel blade for long-lasting performance and includes a mounting hole for easy attachment.

To use, simply squeeze the handles to open the jaws, insert the buffer tube, release the handles, and rotate the tool to gain quick access to the optical fibers inside the buffer tube (diameters from 1.2 mm to 6 mm). The tool is effective with buffer tubes of wall thicknesses from 0.2 mm to 0.5 mm.

The factory-installed hardened steel blade ensures precise cuts without chipping. Weighing only 0.53 ounces (about 13.62 g) and with dimensions of 3.75” x 1.94” x 0.375” (approximately 10.16 cm x 4.93 cm x 0.95 cm), this tool is ideal for field use. The mounting hole makes it easy to carry around.
