The RSBJ heat-shrink sleeve is a high-quality solution designed to effectively protect cable joints against adverse external factors – mechanical, environmental, and chemical. The product is ideally suited for telecommunications installations, regardless of the type of network – aerial, ducted, or directly buried underground.
The sleeve is made of cross-linked low-density polyethylene, ensuring high durability and resistance to environmental conditions over a wide temperature range from -45°C to +60°C. The inner surface is coated with hot-melt adhesive, providing complete sealing and a permanent bond with the cable.
Additional protection and proper shaping of the joint during heating are provided by a special metallized insert that insulates the joint from high temperatures. Thanks to the possibility of using BOKT-type branch-off clips, the sleeve allows up to three cables to be introduced from each side.
The installation process is straightforward, while correct installation is facilitated by indicators in the form of thermochromic paint and a line running along the closure rail, indicating the proper moment to stop heating.
