OPTIX ADSS-XOTKtsdD (ADSS) Aramid yarns: lightweight multi-tube construction, high flexibility, and tensile strength, central reinforcing element (FRP rod 2.1-6.0mm), hydrophobic gel and water-blocking (WB) construction, moisture-resistant tape, reinforced with aramid fiber (supporting element in aerial installations), fully dielectric, HDPE sheath - UV resistance, temperature range -40…+60 [°C] - equivalent to ADSS-XOTKtsdD. Maximum installation tension: 2,700N.

All fibers and tubes of the cable are color-coded according to the eia/tia-598 coding standard. Each tube containing up to 12 optical fibers is filled with hydrophobic gel (thixotropic) to protect the fibers from moisture and vibrations. The cable core is protected against water penetration using moisture-resistant tape. The cable tubes and filling elements are twisted around the central strength member (FRP rod 2.1-6.0mm). Two threads embedded in the jacket are used to facilitate the removal of the outer cable sheath (ripcord). The cables are designed for aerial installations with spans up to 50m (for 2.7kN) as well as for primary and secondary telecommunication duct installations using pneumatic (blowing) and mechanical (pulling) methods.
