The Moxa ICF-1150 is an advanced RS-232/422/485 fiber optic converter designed to provide stable and secure long-distance communication. The device extends transmission distances up to 5 km over multimode fiber or up to 40 km over single-mode fiber, making it an ideal solution for industrial applications that require high reliability and excellent resistance to electromagnetic interference.
The ICF-1150 features three independent communication ports:
1 × RS-232 (DB9)
1 × RS-422/485 (screw terminal)
1 × Fiber optic port (SC or ST)
Thanks to its data forwarding capability between all ports, the converter can simultaneously support multiple communication interfaces. For example, an RTU Master can be connected to the RS-232 port, while Slave devices communicate through the RS-485 port and fiber optic connection, simplifying the deployment of extensive industrial communication networks.
Like the popular TCF-142 model, the ICF-1150 supports ring topology, increasing system reliability while reducing installation costs. If one communication link fails, data transmission is automatically rerouted through the alternate path, ensuring uninterrupted network operation.
