The MikroTik RouterBoard SXTsq 5 ac is a new device from the SXT series. It is designed to operate in the 5 GHz band, supporting the modern 802.11ac standard and utilizing 2x2 MIMO technology. The maximum theoretical throughput is 866 Mb/s. It features a panel antenna with a gain of 16 dBi, the same as in the popular SXT 5 ac models. The maximum transmit power is 25 dBm. The SXTsq 5 ac comes with the RouterOS operating system with a Level 3 license and is best suited for use as a client device in point-to-multipoint connections (in the AC standard), but can also be used in point-to-point connections.
The new SXTsq stands out with its high performance. It is equipped with an IPQ-4018 processor with 4 cores clocked at 716 MHz and 256 MB of RAM. This ensures much greater performance than other MikroTik client solutions. To fully utilize its capabilities, the RBSXTsqG-5acD is equipped with a gigabit Ethernet port.
The offered product has a very compact housing. It is half the thickness of the regular SXT 5 ac, and it can be mounted to a pole using a hose clamp. It is powered via passive PoE, with an input voltage range of 10 - 30 V DC. The package includes a 24 V, 0.38 A power supply and PoE injector.
