Description

The MikroTik RouterBoard wAP LoRa8 kit (wAP R and R11e-LoRa8 card) is a ready-to-use solution for LoRaWAN gateway operation in the ISM 863-870 MHz band with full RoS support. The kit includes the wAP R device with a 2.4 GHz WLAN interface, a SIM card slot, and an Ethernet port, which can be used as a backup connection. It comes with pre-installed software for sending UDP packets to any public (TheThingsNetwork, Loriot.io, etc.) or private LoRa servers.

The wAP LoRa8 kit features an internal antenna with a 2 dBi gain. Additionally, an external antenna with a 6.5 dBi gain can be connected to the device via an SMA connector.

The R11e-LoRa8 card supports 8 different channels in the 863-870 MHz band (EU863-870, RU864-870, IN865-867), Listen Before Talk (LBT) function, and spectral scanning.

Enclosed in a compact wAP housing suitable for indoor and outdoor use due to its waterproofing, the device features a 10/100 Ethernet port, a miniSIM card slot, and can be powered via PoE, DC plug, or a 4-pin automotive connector (included cable).

The wAP is waterproof and can be wall-mounted, with the option to secure the bottom part of the enclosure against unauthorized access. The Ethernet cable can be routed through a hole in the wall directly to the device, avoiding the need for excess cable outside.
