The MikroTik cAP XL ac (RBcAPGi-5acD2nD-XL) is the most powerful ceiling-mounted access point in its series. Compared to previous models in the cAP series, the cAP XL ac features an enhanced high-gain antenna that increases coverage by up to 100%. The new design boasts a larger high-gain antenna, higher sensitivity, and a built-in reflector.
The cAP XL ac is an efficient access point with a sleek design for ceiling mounting. It features a dual-band radio module that can operate simultaneously in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, supporting the 802.11ac standard as well as older standards. The built-in antenna provides strong coverage in 360 degrees around the device, reducing concerns about placement. Mounting it on the ceiling eliminates many signal absorption issues, such as signal blockage by large televisions, metal walls of cabinets in open office spaces, etc.
The cAP XL ac access point also supports repeater mode, despite having two Gigabit Ethernet ports for network expansion using wired connections. The first port supports active PoE 802.3af/at, while the second port allows powering other devices through passive PoE (up to 57V).
The package includes all necessary components such as ceiling mounting brackets, PoE adapter, power supply, screws, and mounting plugs.
Note: The cAP XL ac features a configurable mode button in the center, which turns off all lights and sounds, but it can be reconfigured to execute any RouterOS script.
