The MikroTik LHG XL HP5 is a special version of the popular LHG 5. The device combines a grid antenna with an integrated radio with high transmit power (High Power). The XL HP version features a transmit power of up to 28 dBm (630 mW), whereas the regular version has a power of up to 25 dBm (316 mW). Additionally, it has a larger antenna with a diameter of 550 mm and an energy gain of 27 dBi. This allows it to achieve significantly better wireless transmission range than the LHG 5, and even the LHG HP5. Currently, it is the most efficient device in the LHG series.
The offered product utilizes the 802.11a/n standards and 2x2 MIMO technology. The maximum theoretical throughput of the connection is 300 Mbps. The use of a different antenna resulted in a slightly narrower main beam than the LHG 5, with a width of 6.4°. The device is powered by passive PoE, with a voltage range of 10 - 28 V DC. The kit includes a 24 V / 0.38 A power supply and a PoE injector. The LHG XL HP5 can be used for point-to-point connections or as a client device in point-to-multipoint connections.
