The MikroTik LHG HP5 is a more powerful version of the popular LHG 5. The device combines a grid antenna with an integrated radio with high transmit power (High Power). The HP version features a transmit power of up to 28 dBm (630 mW), whereas the regular version has a power of up to 25 dBm (316 mW). The antenna remains the same as in the basic LHG 5 - with a diameter of 391 mm and a gain of 27.5 dBi. Thanks to the increased power, the LHG HP5 should achieve better wireless transmission range, both in point-to-point and point-to-multipoint connections.
The offered product utilizes the 802.11a/n standards and 2x2 MIMO technology. The maximum theoretical throughput of the connection is 300 Mbps. The main beam has a slightly larger width than the LHG 5 - 10.4°. The device is powered by passive PoE, with a voltage range of 10 - 28 V DC. The kit includes a 24 V / 0.38 A power supply and a PoE injector. The LHG HP5 can be used for point-to-point connections or as a client device in point-to-multipoint connections.
