The MikroTik hAP ax² is a wireless AX1800 WiFi 6 router from the hAP series. It features 5 Gigabit Ethernet ports (including 1 PoE-out port) and can transmit wireless networks in two bands simultaneously - 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
The hAP ax² is equipped with the latest dual-band, dual-chain radio with a gain of 4-4.5 dBi and supports the 802.11ax standard with Wave 2 capabilities. Compared to the previous generation WiFi 5 model, this means up to 40% higher speeds in the 5GHz band and up to 90% higher speeds in the 2.4GHz band, depending on the overall configuration.
Featuring a modern quad-core IPQ-6010 processor running at 864 MHz combined with a robust 1GB RAM, the hAP ax² delivers a powerful performance for demanding operations such as complex firewall rules, hardware IPsec encryption, handling more threads, or experimenting with advanced RouterOS features. Additionally, with support for advanced WPA3 encryption, network users are more secure than ever before.
Like previous models, the MikroTik hAP ax² can be mounted vertically, horizontally, or even on the wall without sacrificing strong signal reception.
The wireless interface supports the 802.11ax standard and is backward compatible with older wireless standards. Older client devices that support only the 802.11ac standard will still benefit from many additional 802.11ac Wave 2 features such as MU-MIMO and Beamforming.
The hAP ax² can be powered via DC plug or passive PoE, with an input voltage range of 12-28V DC. The package includes a 24V DC 1.2A power adapter.
