The MikroTik Wireless Wire is a kit consisting of two wAPG-60ad devices. It is the first MikroTik product to support the 802.11ad standard and operates in the 60 GHz band. The devices are designed for use in point-to-point connections in locations where laying cables is challenging. The kit allows establishing a connection over a distance of approximately 100 meters and achieving a theoretical throughput of 1 Gb/s.
The wireless transmission is secured with AES encryption, and the devices come pre-configured and paired. The kit includes power supplies and mounts for installation on a pole. The enclosures of the new wAPs are designed for outdoor use.
