Description

The MikroTik CRS328-24P-4S+RM is a managed switch equipped with 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports. Each Ethernet port operates independently and offers Power over Ethernet (PoE) output. Power can be supplied in two ways: passive PoE (PoE type) or PoE compliant with 802.3af/at standards (PoE+ type). The device comes with a built-in power supply with a capacity of 500 W. The switch itself consumes a maximum of 44 W of power, leaving approximately 450 W available for output. It features 4 SFP+ slots with a throughput of 10 Gbps. Inside the CRS, there is a Marvell 98DX3236A1 switch chip, well-known from other MikroTik devices, such as the CRS326-24G-2S+RM. The device offers dual boot functionality - users can choose between SwitchOS and RouterOS (Level 5).

The CRS328-24P-4S+RM offers essential managed switch features such as VLAN 802.1Q, IGMP Snooping, and port mirroring. The manufacturer specifies the total switching throughput as 64 Gbps and packet forwarding performance as 95.2 Mpps. An additional advantage is the automatic fan speed control based on operating temperature. If Layer 3 functionality is required, RouterOS can be enabled on the device. The enclosure is designed for mounting in a 19" Rack cabinet.
