CRS317-1G-16S+RM is a high-performance, manageable Layer 2 / 3 switch. It is equipped with 16 slots for SFP+ modules, which can also accept regular SFP modules. The device features an efficient switch chip that enables the utilization of all 16 ports with a throughput of 10 Gbps. Additionally, it includes a 800 MHz processor and 1 GB of RAM, allowing for partial Layer 3 functionality without performance issues.

The switch offers dual boot capability, allowing users to choose between SwitchOS and RouterOS. With SwitchOS, users benefit from a graphical interface and all the features of a manageable switch, including MAC filtering, VLAN configuration, traffic mirroring, and bandwidth limiting. On the other hand, RouterOS enables access to more advanced Layer 3 features.

Enclosed in a rack-mountable 19" chassis, the device is passively cooled but equipped with fans that activate in case of temperature rise. It comes with two built-in power supplies that can operate redundantly, ensuring uninterrupted operation even in the event of a power supply failure.
