Fiber Optic Microduct for Direct Burial, Orange Color
The fiber optic microduct is a high-quality solution designed for building microduct and micro-pipeline fiber optic networks. Made from durable medium-density polyethylene (MDPE), the product offers excellent resistance to compression, tension, chemicals, and material aging—ensuring long-term network reliability even after many years of use.
Its internally grooved surface reduces the coefficient of friction (<0.07), enabling quick and hassle-free cable installation using both blowing and pulling methods. The microduct is semi-transparent, which allows for easy identification of its contents during installation and maintenance.
Key Product Features:
Internal grooves reduce friction – simplify cable installation.
Installation temperature: from +5°C to +50°C; Operating temperature: from -40°C to +70°C.
High resistance to inductive currents, most chemicals, and harsh environmental conditions.
Available in multiple color variants for easy network identification.
Available lengths: 100 m, 200 m, or on drums (1–2 km).
Flammable product – must be used in compliance with fire safety regulations.
Applications:
Ideal for building modern, easily expandable fiber optic networks in both urban and industrial infrastructure. It allows for quick upgrades and fiber replacement in response to changing demand.
Fiber optic microduct networks – suitable for new installations and retrofitting existing networks.
FTTH (Fiber to the Home) – delivers fiber connections directly to residential or commercial buildings.
Urban and industrial infrastructure – for core and distribution fiber routes in cities, industrial zones, and residential areas.
Connections between telecom cabinets, manholes, and network nodes – enables fast, convenient routing of micro cables.
Monitoring and automation systems – supports data transmission for smart city and Industry 4.0 solutions.
Specialized installations – such as in railway systems, energy infrastructure, tunnels, and restricted-access areas, where environmental resistance is essential.
These microducts allow easy and cost-effective network expansion without the need for expensive earthworks—new fibers can simply be blown into existing microducts. This forward-looking solution minimizes operational costs and provides exceptional flexibility in network management.
Versions with Pulling Wire – What Does It Mean?
Microducts are also available in versions with a pre-installed pulling wire (commonly nylon or steel), which greatly simplifies the cable installation process. The pulling wire acts as a guide, allowing for quick and easy cable insertion without the need for additional tools or blowing equipment.
This product is without a pulling wire, meaning the user must employ their own guide wire or use a cable blowing method for installation.
The choice between versions depends on the preferred installation technique and project specifics—on more complex routes or longer sections, a pulling wire can significantly speed up the process.
