The MADEX CAT6 UTP installation cable meets the requirements of Category 6 according to the standards ISO/IEC 11801, EN 50173-1, IEC 61156-5, EN 50288-6-1, and ANSI/TIA/EIA 568-C.2-1. A fire resistance test was conducted in accordance with the standard IEC 60332-1-2 (EN 60332-1-2).
Cables manufactured by MADEX meet the standards for Category 6 in the frequency range up to 500 MHz.
Application:
These cables are designed for indoor installations, both horizontal and vertical, in telecommunication networks that are not susceptible to electromagnetic interference. Category 6 cable channels are designed to operate at frequencies up to 250 MHz, providing a binary throughput above 1 Gb/s, for example ATM-1200/Category 6 (ATM LAN 1.2 Gbit/s). These cables are intended for use in the voltage and current conditions present in telecommunication systems, but they cannot be used to power electrical devices.
Construction:
a) Conductors: 100% Copper, single-stranded with a diameter of 0.57 mm (23 AWG).
b) Insulation: Polyethylene.
c) Core: 4 pairs twisted on a core filler, in a cross-shaped configuration.
d) Sheath: Polwinit with enhanced oxygen index (FR-PVC).
e) Sheath color: Gray.
