Industrial Switches

Industrial switches are reliable solutions designed for industrial environments where extreme conditions such as increased dust, high or low temperatures, and high humidity are present. They are recommended for installations on poles or in telecommunication manholes where hermetic protection is required. These switches are equipped with Ethernet ports (Fast Ethernet or Gigabit Ethernet), allowing the connection of various devices such as IP cameras or computers.

The devices feature an IP40-rated enclosure, ensuring protection against access to hazardous elements and solid foreign objects with a diameter exceeding 1 mm. All ports support Power over Ethernet (PoE), requiring the switch to be powered by DC 48V. Additionally, the switches are equipped with an SFP port, enabling media conversion to fiber optic.

The IP40 protection rating is a crucial parameter determining how effectively the enclosure protects the device from external factors. In this case, it provides effective protection against solid foreign objects with a diameter of 1 mm and access to potentially hazardous parts.

Industrial switches also feature a wide range of power supply voltages from DC 12V to 57V, allowing them to be installed in locations where standard mains voltage may be unavailable. An additional benefit is the ability to connect two power supplies, providing redundancy in case of a power source failure.

The devices are energy-efficient, with low power consumption of less than 6W (excluding PoE). They also feature Ethernet ports, available in numbers ranging from 1 to 8, with Auto MDI-MDIX functionality to facilitate cable recognition.

The introduction of PoE functionality on all Ethernet ports allows for powering PD devices according to 802.3af/at standards (and HiPoE for N299704). There is also the option of data transmission via fiber optic using an SFP slot, with transmission speeds of 100 Mb/s or 1000 Mb/s, depending on the model.

Additional electrostatic discharge protection mechanisms up to 6kV make the devices resistant to adverse environmental conditions. The wide operating temperature range from -35 to 65℃, permissible ambient humidity ranging from 5 to 95%, and the ability to operate within atmospheric pressure ranges from 800 to 1100 hPa make ULTIPOWER switches a versatile solution for industrial applications. The possibility of DIN rail mounting using a special bracket at the rear of the enclosure further facilitates installation.

The product category includes both managed (configurable) and unmanaged (plug-and-play) switches, as well as dedicated networking devices for various industries such as energy or railways.
