The Huawei AX3 is a dual-band wireless router supporting both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. The device is compliant with the WiFi 6 standard and IEEE 802.11ax, providing higher throughput compared to previous standards, including 802.11ac. In the 5 GHz band, it utilizes 1024-QAM modulation and a 160 MHz channel width (2x 80 MHz), allowing for a maximum theoretical throughput of 2402 Mbps. Meanwhile, the throughput in the 2.4 GHz band has been improved to up to 574 Mbps.

The router is equipped with 4 gigabit Ethernet ports, including 1 WAN port and 3 LAN ports. Transmission is supported by 4 external omnidirectional antennas, ensuring excellent transmission coverage. Additionally, the Dynamic Narrow Bandwidth technology positively impacts coverage. The router can handle simultaneous data transmission from multiple devices (4 in the 2.4 GHz band, 16 in the 5 GHz band), improving throughput and transmission quality. The maximum number of connected clients is 128.

The wireless uplink feature enables routers to be connected in a single wireless network using the "H" button, reminiscent of Mesh network operation. The router is compatible with other older Huawei routers and can connect to them wirelessly.
