Huawei HN8145V5 XG-PON ONT 4x GE

The Huawei HN8145V5 is a client terminal ONT designed for XG-PON networks (asymmetric 10G/2.5G). It features an SC/UPC optical connector, 4 gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000 Mb/s), and 1 RJ11 telephone port. An additional advantage is the presence of 2 USB ports (1x 2.0, 1x 3.0) enabling functionalities like creating an SMB server. The device can transmit wireless networks, supporting Wi-Fi 5 standard. It supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n protocols in the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac in the 5 GHz band. The maximum theoretical transmission throughput for WiFi is 1200 Mb/s - 300 Mb/s in the 2.4 GHz band and 867 Mb/s in the 5 GHz band.

The offered product supports the XG-PON standard, using an SC/UPC port as the WAN interface. XG-PON, compared to standard GPON transmission, differs primarily in throughput and split ratio. It supports speeds of 10 Gb/s downstream and 2.5 Gb/s upstream (in GPON, it's 2.5 / 1.25 Gb/s). The split ratio is 1x256, meaning you can connect twice as many subscribers to one XG-PON port compared to a GPON port. Additionally, transmission occurs on different wavelengths than GPON, so with one fiber, you can carry two transmissions simultaneously in both standards.

The HN8145V5 can create wireless transmissions in both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands simultaneously (Wi-Fi 5). It supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n protocols in the 2.4 GHz band and IEEE 802.11 a/n/ac in the 5 GHz band. The maximum theoretical transmission throughput is 1200 Mb/s - 300 Mb/s in 2.4 GHz and 867 Mb/s in 5 GHz. The terminal is equipped with 2 external omnidirectional antennas, providing much better transmission range than devices with integrated antennas. AC1200 throughput is sufficient for comfortable internet browsing, high-resolution video streaming, and online gaming. The HN8145V5 also supports WiFi features useful for subscribers, such as parental controls and scheduled shutdown.
