Fiber optic cleaver

A fiber optic cleaver is a tool that ensures maximum ease of use while maintaining the highest repeatability of cutting parameters. The process of using this device is limited to aligning the fiber and moving the blade, making it extremely intuitive.

This tool is ideal for cutting single fibers in coatings ranging from 250 μm to 900 μm in diameter, as well as fibers in primary coatings with a diameter of 125 μm. The cutting length ranges from 10 to 20 mm, allowing for precise adjustment to various needs.

The cleaver is equipped with a 16-position blade, and it is recommended to rotate the blade approximately every 1000 cuts. This means that the blade's lifespan is about 16000 cuts. There is also the option to purchase just the blade under the appropriate code.

This tool is dedicated to cutting both single-mode and multimode optical fibers. It is perfect for preparing fibers for the splicing process or mechanical splice and connector assembly. The cleaver allows for precise fiber cutting at a 90° angle, with an accuracy of ~0.5°.

The innovative design of this product includes a rotatable, replaceable blade that has 16 cutting positions. Thanks to this solution, the cleaver provides the ability to make approximately 48000 precise cuts with a single blade. This tool is essential in professional applications where precision and repeatability in preparing fiber optics are required
