The DGS-1210-20/ME switch is equipped with 16 gigabit Ethernet ports and 4 SFP ports, designed for use in Metro Ethernet networks. Utilizing SFP ports and 10/100/1000BASE-T, the device ensures high data throughput. This product includes surge protection and numerous advanced Layer 2 management features.

The device supports port aggregation (802.3ad) and Spanning Tree Protocols (802.1D, 802.1w, and 802.1s). The advanced Quality of Service (QoS) function (802.1p) enables efficient bandwidth control with 8 priority queues. Packet classification can be based on ToS, DSCP, MAC, IPv4, VLAN ID, TCP/UDP port number, protocol type, or user-configured settings, enhancing applications such as VoIP and IPTV.

The product supports port-based or host-based access control (802.1X), guest VLAN, and RADIUS/TACAS+ authentication. The built-in Safeguard Engine protects the processor from broadcast, multicast, and unicast flooding attacks. Switch management can be performed through an intuitive graphical interface, providing many features useful for network management, diagnostics, and remote troubleshooting.
