This model belongs to the widely used FOSC 400 series, intended for outdoor telecommunications installations, including underground cable chambers and aerial fiber optic networks. The closure is designed for both straight-through and branch splice applications, ensuring high reliability and secure protection of fiber optic connections.
Features of the FOSC 400 B4 Fiber Optic Closure (4 Trays)
The FOSC-400B4 is a single-ended splice closure specifically designed for high-density storage of fiber optic splices. The enclosure is made of durable thermoplastic material resistant to weather conditions and mechanical damage. Its tight sealing system, based on a clamp mechanism and circular gasket, effectively protects the internal components against moisture, dust, and contaminants.
The base of the closure is equipped with one oval port that allows the installation of a looped, uncut fiber optic cable, as well as four round ports intended for additional cable entries. Cable sealing is achieved using heat-shrink components, ensuring long-term durability and reliable environmental protection.
The FOSC-400B4-NT-0-NNN model offers a maximum capacity of up to 96 fiber optic splices. The integrated hinged splice trays provide convenient access to selected fibers without the need to interfere with other trays. This design significantly reduces the risk of damaging loose buffer tubes and helps prevent additional optical attenuation during maintenance work.
FOSC-400 series splice closures meet all requirements for professional fiber optic cable termination and sealing. In addition, optional storage baskets for uncut loose buffer tubes can be installed, further improving installation flexibility and cable management efficiency.
