The 3M ECAM D6-18 double cable entry seal is an innovative mechanical solution for cable entry that does not require specialized tools or power sources for installation. The procedure for mounting cable entries on the cable is carried out outside the shield body, which speeds up the work and facilitates access to fibers, especially when securing clamping elements. This concept ensures maximum protection in case of cable tensions. The cable is secured using special clamps, and the simplicity of this solution allows for a high level of sealing without the need for specialized skills by technical personnel. A rubber ring ensures sealing between the mechanical cable entry and the shield body, and the mounting of the ECAM entry to the shield is done using a snap closure. It is also possible to easily disassemble and reassemble the entry, for example, in the event of cable replacement.
