The ZTT microADSS 1J fiber optic cable is a self-supporting cable with a lightweight single-tube construction and small diameter (3 mm). Its jacket is made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), which is completely dielectric, UV-resistant, and moisture-repellent. Aramid fibers reinforce its mechanical properties and serve as the load-bearing element in aerial installations.

A loose tube filled with thixotropic gel provides protective function for the optical fibers. The G.657A2 fiber type used is compatible with commonly used G.652D fibers, with a minimum bending radius of just 7.5 mm. Additionally, two ripcords are included to facilitate the stripping of the cable's outer jacket.
