Universal fiber optic cables ZTT 2-24J are dielectric cables with a single-tube construction designed for both aerial installation on spans up to 60 meters and installation in telecommunication ducts. They are reinforced with glass fibers and two FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) rods with a diameter of 0.58mm embedded in the outer layer. Single-mode G.652D fibers are used, characterized by a reduced "water peak." The fibers are housed in a central tube filled with hydrophobic gel to protect them from moisture and vibrations. The outer sheath is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) in black color, providing resistance to chemicals found in ducts, UV radiation, and low and high temperatures (-40°C to 70°C). The outer diameter of the cables ranges from 5.2 to 6.2 mm, and the maximum installation tension is 1200N. A double ripcord is used to facilitate the removal of the outer sheath.
