The ZTT 2-24J ADSS optical fiber cables are dielectric cables with a single-tube construction designed for aerial installation with spans of up to 80 meters. They are reinforced with aramid fibers and two FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) rods with a diameter of 0.58 mm embedded in the outer layer. They feature single-mode G.652D fibers characterized by a reduced "water peak." The fibers are housed in a central tube filled with hydrophobic gel to protect them from moisture and vibrations. The outer jacket is made of black high-density polyethylene (HDPE), resistant to UV radiation, low, and high temperatures (-40[°C] to 70[°C]). The outer diameter of the cables ranges from 5.2 to 6.2 mm, and the maximum installation tension is 1-1.2 kN. A double ripcord is used to facilitate the removal of the outer jacket. Apart from aerial networks, the ZTT 2-24J ADSS cables can also be successfully used in telecommunications ducts.
