The TP-LINK MC210CS media converter facilitates the conversion of data signals from traditional STP/UTP twisted-pair cables to single-mode optical fiber, ensuring reliable transmission. It enables Gigabit Ethernet signal transmission through two single-mode optical fibers over distances of up to 15 km. Equipped with two SC connectors for transmitting (TX) and receiving (RX) optical signals at a wavelength of 1310 nm.
TP-LINK devices feature built-in MDI/MDI-X auto-detection, eliminating the need for crossover cables and automatically detecting and configuring data transmission speed and mode. They operate with a "store and forward" mechanism, ensuring data integrity by calculating checksums.
TP-LINK media converters fully comply with IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u, IEEE 802.3z standards. Installation and use of the device are extremely simple thanks to the "plug and play" feature. LED indicators on the device inform users of the current operating status of the media converter.
