Description

TELEFONIKA Z-XOTKtmsd Fibre Optic Cable with Microtube – for Installation in Microduct Systems

The fibre optic cable is a modern cable designed for installation in microduct systems. Thanks to the use of a 1.5 mm diameter loose tube filled with thixotropic gel and its fully dielectric construction, with no metal components, the product ensures reliable and long-lasting operation in demanding outdoor conditions.

Construction and Materials

The cable features a central FRP strength member, around which tubes containing G.652D/G.657A1 optical fibres are stranded. The cable core is protected with water-swellable yarns, which prevent moisture ingress. The black polyethylene (PE) outer sheath further increases resistance to weather conditions and mechanical damage.

The Z-XOTKtmsd fibre optic cable has a specific designation that describes its construction and intended use:

  • Z – cable designed for outdoor applications, resistant to weather conditions,

  • Xpolyethylene (PE) sheath, resistant to UV radiation, moisture and damage,

  • OTKoptical telecommunications cable used in fibre optic networks,

  • t – tubular construction (loose microtube) in which the fibres are routed,

  • msdry-sealed cable core, providing protection against moisture and facilitating installation,

  • dfully dielectric construction, with no metal components, making the cable lightweight, safe and resistant to electromagnetic interference.

Thanks to this construction, the Z-XOTKtmsd cable is exceptionally durable, lightweight and easy to install in microduct systems, while providing long-term protection for optical fibres even in harsh environmental conditions.
