SZS-18/120/8 FTTH 16F – Outdoor Fiber Optic Distribution Pedestal, 16 SC Ports

The SZS-18/120/8 FTTH 16F is a compact outdoor fiber optic pedestal designed for use in FTTH networks, particularly in dispersed residential areas. The unit enables convenient subscriber connections and organized management of optical infrastructure in the field, while ensuring high resistance to weather conditions and mechanical damage.

The enclosure is made of 1 mm thick Magnelis® steel sheet, providing excellent corrosion protection and long-term durability even in demanding outdoor environments. The surface is powder-coated in light gray (RAL 7035), which further improves resistance and provides a clean, technical appearance consistent with modern telecommunications infrastructure.

The pedestal is designed for ground installation by burying approximately 60 cm into the soil, ensuring structural stability and proper protection of the fiber optic installation. Its compact dimensions and relatively low weight make transportation and installation quick and convenient for field technicians.

Inside, the unit features a removable fiber optic panel with a 16-fiber patch field, designed for the installation of 16 SC simplex adapters. The internal design allows for convenient cable routing, proper fiber management, and easy access during maintenance or service operations.

The pedestal is also equipped with two linear ports for SC simplex splitters, along with a splice tray that accommodates 4–8 fiber splices. The thoughtfully designed internal layout provides sufficient space for cable slack storage and organized fiber routing.

Cable entries are protected by a brush-type cable gland, preventing dust and contaminants from entering the enclosure. The entire structure meets IP65 protection standards, ensuring reliable protection of network components against moisture, dust, and environmental exposure.

Additional security is provided by two hermetic locks with a repeatable key code, allowing controlled access to the infrastructure and protecting the device from unauthorized opening.
