The OPTIX Aramid Z-XOTKtcdD cable features a lightweight single-tube construction (~20kg/km), high flexibility, and resistance to pulling despite its small diameter (~5.3mm). It incorporates gel and water-blocking (WB) design, HDPE sheath, UV resistance, and operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 70°C. Reinforced with 2 ARP (0.5mm) / FRP (0.4mm) rods and aramid fibers, it is completely dielectric - equivalent to Aramid Z-XOTKtcdD. The maximum installation tension is 1200N.
All fibers in the cable are color-coded according to the eia/tia-598 coding standard. The tube contains up to 24 optical fibers and is filled with hydrophobic gel to protect the fibers from moisture and vibrations. The cable is strengthened with aramid fibers. To provide additional structural strength, two ARP or FRP rods are embedded in the outer HDPE layer. Two threads embedded in the jacket facilitate the removal of the cable's outer sheath (ripcords). The cables are designed for installation in primary and secondary telecommunication ducts using pneumatic (blowing) and mechanical (pulling) methods, as well as for aerial installations on spans up to 80m.
