The OPTIX Vertical W-NOTKSd 0.5kN, 6-48J cable is designed for multi-dwelling and office buildings. It's a type of easy-access cable, featuring a special design that allows for convenient access to fibers by cutting windows in the sheath using tools like VC-TC1 or TLS-RT-A0. This enables easy extraction of optical fibers with a 0.9mm coating up to a distance of 25 meters. The fibers are then led to a special distribution cabinet for easy-access cables (16/18/5) or branching boxes with 4-8 ports.
The fiber is pulled into the subscriber's premises using a pilot in a 5/3.5mm tube connected with a clamping sleeve. Inside the customer's apartment, a subscriber box like FOB-FTTX or FTTH CTB-A2 is installed, and the fiber is spliced with a fiber pigtail and plugged into an adapter. The connection to the PON terminal is made using a subscriber patch cord of the appropriate length.
These cables are available with 12 to 48 fibers and all fibers are color-coded according to the EIA/TIA598 standard. They feature an easy-strip jacket for simplified installation and maintenance.
