The MikroTik LHG LTE18 kit (LHGGM&EG18-EA) is a new model in the MikroTik LHG series designed for 3G and LTE (category 18) networks. The LHG LTE18 kit consists of a radio integrated with a 17 dBi gain antenna, featuring 1 Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000 Mb/s PoE-in port, distinguishing it from cheaper solutions. The device is based on a dual-core 88F3720 processor clocked at 800 MHz. It also includes 1 microSIM slot and 256 MB of RAM. The maximum theoretical throughput (in LTE category 18) is 1.2 Gbps for downloading data and 150 Mbps for uploading data.
LTE category 18 also supports carrier aggregation, allowing the device to use multiple bands simultaneously. This is a significant advantage in areas with many LTE users, providing better performance in congested environments and higher efficiency in areas with weaker signals, such as rural areas.
LTE category 18 supports bands: 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38, 40, 41, and supports carrier aggregation.
The LHG LTE18 kit is designed for outdoor use. The use of a directional antenna with a 17 dBi gain in the device means that the LHG LTE18 should be aimed towards the nearest base transceiver station (BTS). The device can be powered by PoE 802.3af/at. The kit includes a standard 24 V DC / 0.8 A power supply with a Gigabit PoE injector and necessary mounting accessories. The device features RouterOS with a Level 3 license.
