The MikroTik ATL LTE18 kit (ATLGM&EG18-EA) is an advanced LTE solution based on ATL (Advanced Technology LTE) with wideband MIMO 4x4 antennas, providing fast and stable connectivity in rural and urban areas. MikroTik ATL is a technologically advanced directional LTE solution for those who want to maximize the potential of LTE base stations.
The MikroTik ATL LTE18 kit consists of a radio integrated with antennas, featuring 1 Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000 Mb/s PoE-in port, distinguishing it from cheaper solutions. The device is based on a dual-core ARM 88F3720 1.2 GHz processor. It includes a MicroSIM slot and an M.2 slot, along with 256 MB of RAM. The maximum theoretical throughput (in LTE category 18) is 1.2 Gb/s for downloading data and 150 Mb/s for uploading data.
LTE category 18 also features carrier aggregation, allowing the device to use multiple bands simultaneously, providing better performance in crowded environments and stronger signals in rural areas. It supports bands: 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38, 40, 41, and carrier aggregation.
One of the key features is 4x4 MIMO or multiple input multiple output support, meaning more antennas for cooperation – resulting in higher speed and better signal. Outstanding performance can be expected in cities with modern LTE base stations. However, ATL can also work wonders in rural areas as it supports a wider range of frequencies for low-band antennas. ATL is equipped with 4 high-gain mid-band antennas (1.7 – 2.7 GHz) and 2 high-gain low-band antennas (700 MHz – 1 GHz, LTE Band 28). The 700 MHz and 800 MHz LTE bands are among the most popular frequency options worldwide, ensuring ATL will always find a signal.
At first glance, the ATL LTE18 kit looks like a spaceship, but there is a good reason for it. This design prevents snow and water from accumulating and freezing, making it not only compact and easy to transport but also capable of handling the toughest weather conditions. ATL is an excellent tool for fast and stable connections in cold, snowy cities without the need for constant antenna cleaning. And the LTE category 18 modem is quite future-proof, so there are no worries about updates for a longer time.
The ATL LTE18 kit is designed for outdoor use. The directional antenna in the device means that ATL LTE18 should be directed towards the nearest base station (BTS). The device can be powered via PoE using 802.3af/at standard. The kit includes a standard 24 V DC / 0.8 A power supply with a gigabit PoE injector and necessary mounting accessories. The device features RouterOS with a Level 3 license.
