Huawei MA5683T is a cutting-edge Optical Line Terminal (OLT) that introduces the concept of an "all-in-one" access platform, integrating DSL and optical access. This OLT supports various access methods such as VDSL, ADSL2+, G.SHDSL, POTS, ISDN, PON, and Ethernet P2P, accommodating scenarios like FTTC, FTTB, FTTH, FTTO, and FTTM. The device also facilitates high-reliability mobile backhaul and high-density GE/10GE interfaces for cascading remote access devices, simplifying network architecture and enabling a smooth migration in FTTx networks, ultimately reducing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

Accommodates various scenarios: FTTC/FTTB/FTTH/FTTO/FTTM
Delivers high-capacity IPTV services, supporting 8K multicast users and 4K multicast channels
Hierarchical Quality of Service (H-QoS) with 3 levels (provider/service/user) ensuring wholesale transmission by the OLT
High aggregation throughput with a backplane throughput of 3.2 Tbit/s and switch throughput of 960 Gbit/s, supporting 512K MAC addresses
High-density GE/10GE interfaces for cascading, allowing support for up to 3610GE or 140GE without additional investments in aggregation switches
High network reliability, supporting direct connection with BRAS and flawless software upgrade functionality
Unique ATM DSLAM cascading system
Additionally, the MA5683T supports the following components:

SCUN (Super Control Unit):

Functions as the core control unit for system control, service switching, and aggregation.
Acts as the core management and control unit for the integrated Network Management System (NMS).
Communicates with service boards for key management and control information.
X2CS (2-port 10 GE Uplink Interface Board):

Offers two upstream or cascading optical 10 GE ports.
PRTE (Power Board):

Power board with -48 V DC for OLT devices like MA5683T and MA5680T.
