The single-tube, flat optical fiber cable FIBERHOME 12J is designed for aerial installations on spans up to 60 meters. Its outer sheath is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE, black), resistant to UV radiation and both low and high temperatures (from -40°C to 70°C). The cable is reinforced with two Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) rods, each with a diameter of 2 mm, embedded in the outer sheath. The central tube containing 12 optical fibers is filled with hydrophobic gel, which protects them from water ingress and vibrations. It utilizes single-mode G.652D fibers, characterized by reduced water peak, and the minimum bending radius for the cable is 60 mm (with bending possible only in one plane). Additionally, to facilitate the removal of the cable's outer sheath, a ripcord is included, along with special fibers acting as moisture blockers.
