The FIBERHOME 144J DUCT optical fiber cable is a sturdy multi-tube construction (12 fibers per tube) designed for installation in telecommunication ducts. It is reinforced with glass fibers and a central FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) rod. Additionally, to facilitate the removal of the outer sheath of the cable, two ripcords have been applied.
The tube containing the optical fibers is filled with hydrophobic gel, which protects them from moisture and vibrations. Single-mode fibers compliant with the G.652D standard, known for their low "water peak," are utilized. The cable is completely dielectric, characterized by good tensile and compressive strength. Its outer sheath is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), black in color, providing high resistance to chemical factors and substances present in telecommunication ducts.
