Description

The E14a UCFIBRE Universal Central Tube Cable is a series of fiber optic cables constructed with a central loose tube filled with gel. Variants are available with 2 to 24 fibers. These cables feature reinforcing elements made of glass fibers and an LSHF (low-smoke halogen-free) coating, making them suitable for both outdoor (e.g., in ducts) and indoor applications.

They are designated according to the VDE standard: U-DQ(ZN)BH and comply with standards ISO 11801-1, EN 50173-1:2011, IEC 60794-1. The cables are flame-resistant according to standards IEC 60332-1-2, IEC 60754-1, IEC 60754-2, IEC 61034-2; classified as Eca.

Their construction includes:

A loose tube with a diameter of 2.8 mm filled with gel, containing 2-24 fibers.
A reinforcing membrane made of glass fibers to prevent water ingress.
A 1 mm thick jacket made of blue FireBur coating, resistant to UV radiation.
Marking: Draka UCFIBRE I/O CT LSHF 2.0 kN.
